Security Cameras during the Night

While most security cameras come equipped with infrared (IR) light that allows them to see in the dark, there are some limitations. IR light is invisible to the human eye, but it can be picked up by camera sensors. However, IR light can only illuminate a certain distance, so if you're trying to capture footage of something far away at night, it may be too dark for the camera to pick up.

There are also different types of IR light. Some security cameras use visible IR light, which is detectable by the human eye. This can be useful if you want to be able to see what the camera is seeing, but it can also be a privacy concern since anyone who sees the IR light will know they're being recorded.
